The Clay City Banking Company was established in 1892 by local citizens. The Bank continues to be locally owned and committed to remaining a "Community Bank". The Bank has continued to expand its services and operations over the years, including the opening of a full size branch in Flora, The Flora Banking Company, in December of 2002. The Flora office completed construction and a move into a brand new facility in September of 2003. The Clay City Banking Company and The Flora Banking Company have a Board and a staff of individuals with numerous years of experience in Banking as well as years of roots in the community.
